Planting and Growing the Kingdom of God in West Michigan  Woodland Association is composed of autonomous Southern Baptist Churches, Missions and Church Plants who  are  in  voluntary cooperation with each other to make a greater impact for the Kingdom of God in West Michigan

Fourteen Churches, Missions, and Church Plants cooperating together make up our West Michigan Association of Southern Baptist work.  Ten counties make up our geography — Kent, Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, Ottawa, and Osceola.

Statistics from the 2003 census tell us that there are 1.259 million people that live in this area of 6242 square miles and 283 cities.  We have one Southern Baptist work for each 390 square miles; one member reported for each 10 square miles.

As we cooperate together, we can accomplish much more than we could alone. As we join hands with others who have a desire to reach people with God’s love and have common beliefs, we can impact our cities with the truths of God’s Word.

Our work is cut out for us. Still, we know that there are other churches who are working toward Kingdom growth as well, and that God has not left us alone to do His work. Together, Everyone Can!
